TakeOn Design, which I founded in 2018, is an agency specializing in creating impactful solutions for companies across various industries. From budding startups like Lifa (AI healthtech), to established corporations like Nedbank, we cater to organizations of all sizes. Additionally, our collaboration with Konka Day Club, a leading African brand in the luxury hospitality sector for daytime club experiences, highlights the ability to innovate and elevate experiences in niche markets.
My time at Nedbank was primarily spent as a Design Lead on various squads. A few that stood out were Interaction Transaction Authority which had a strong emphasis on security, one outcome being a seamless QR code login and Financial Wellness which had a strong emphasis on data analytics and visualisation.
In February 2019, I hosted a Healthcare Hackathon in partnership with Baragwanath Hospitals' Pediatric Surgery, which ran over 2 days.
I was a designer for Momentum Intermediary creating a client 360 view for our financial advisers, a wholistic view of a client with the information that we have from the various business units. I worked on Momentum's Life Insurance Fast Track, which resulted in a 40% time decrease in client onboarding. I came onboard this project as the design lead in January 2018. The feature was later released to early access clients in June 2018.
For a couple of years before the Covid Pandemic, I led a Social Entreprenurship Summer School class in Mussoorie, India during the month of June. The course covered design thinking as a core component to engaging with the problems plaguing the world.
